RuPaul has faked his own album leak and left a caustic message for those not paying for his music. Instead of the tracks from Born Naked, he seeded torrent sites with dummy tracks that, when played, stops after 30 seconds before breaking into something of a rambling monologue from the singer, saying that fans should support him by buying the legal version on iTunes. “You know I got bills to pay,” he says. “Honey, we make these records but we don’t make a lot of money on music – everybody knows that. But when hookers are trying to illegally download your [garbled]. You know I ain’t corporate. You know I am doing my own thing. You gotta support your artist.” And so it goes on. Having listened to it, we’d probably be in the market to buy a whole album of RuPaul kicking people to the kerb like this.
