On their last tour, One Direction took questions from fans via Twitter. For their next jaunt, they’re trying something different: soliciting fans’ questions via Instagram videos. Fans are being asked to upload their questions and messages to Facebook’s photography app using the hashtag #1DTourSAmerica, with the provision that the videos must be “interesting” and ideally will include a question that the band haven’t been asked many times before. The best will then be played on the big screens in stadium during the tour, and answered / responded to by the band, with different hashtags used for each geographic segment of the tour – the one above is for Latin America, where the Where We Are tour is kicking off. “We want the most creative, funny and exciting videos. What question do you think the band would like to hear that they have never heard before?” explained the band to fans. British studio We Make Awesome Sh. is helping run the project.
