Project Spark is new to us, but that’s not a surprise: when it launched in beta last December, it was pitched as a way for Xbox and PC gamers to create their own games – a user-generated content platform for third-person shooter, platform and tower defence games. Now another use for it has emerged: interactive, remixable music videos. Linkin Park have teamed up with Microsoft and developer Team Dakota to use Project Spark to create a video for their new single ‘Guilty All the Same’. The seven-minute video involves playing a platform game in a dark, doomy world (“So it should be halfway familiar territory for Linkin Park fans,” suggests The Verge). It’ll be offered for free to PC and Xbox users of Project Spark, who will then be able to remix the sound and visuals to their heart’s content.
