Omnia Media claims to be the third largest music-focused multi-channel network (MCN) on YouTube, with 550m views and 40m subscribers for its network of more than 650 creators. Now it has taken a new round of investment from Canadian media company Blue Ant Media, which it says will help it work with more brands, as well as bumping up the marketing for its artists. The company works with the likes of The Weeknd, Tyga and Wyclef Jean, and besides music also works in the popular gaming category of YouTube videos. “Our relationship with Blue Ant Media allows us to offer our creators an amazing opportunity to expand their reach and monetize their content through new, direct relationships with brands,” said CEO Tamoor Shafi. The size of the investment was undisclosed, but industry site Tubefilter reports that it was “in the seven figures” range.
