Jay-Z and Beyoncé will soon be setting out on their On The Run stadium tour, but first there’s an official trailer on YouTube. And it’s fair to say this sets a new standard in production values for tour trailers: it’s designed as a trailer for a film complete with (in Billboard’s words) “car chases, explosions, gunfire and passionate love”. Oh, and cameos from the likes of Guillermo Díaz, Sean Penn, Emmy Rossum and Rashida Jones. It looks like a pretty good film, although the “Coming Never” message at the end of the trailer makes it clear this isn’t a real movie. It’s a thought though. What’s that? Are there any good fight scenes in elevators? Oh hush.
