The latest hot new music startup is Peugeot, a company from… Wait, that Peugeot? Yep. The carmaker has launched a new iOS and Android app called Peugeot Music, made available as a free download this week on their respective app stores. “Peugeot Music is a new platform dedicated to music lovers,” explains its blurb. “Browse our interactive blog on Selected by Peugeot, updated daily with new music selections, connect with music fans from around the world and share your favourite songs on Connected by Peugeot and be sure to listen to our curated web radio.” While several rivals have launched various integrations with existing streaming services, this looks like a bold move for Peugeot to launch its own – complete with the costs involved in running a “curated web radio” station. The app is a spin-off from the peugeotmusic.comwebsite, with people able to sign in to the app using their login from the website, or their Facebook ID.
