Hollywood firm The Weinstein Co. is using Spotify as a key part of the digital marketing for its Begin Again film. The romance movie is getting its own microsite to turn Spotify into a ‘Tinder for Music’, with users invited to connect their account up to “find people who share your taste in music” on the streaming service. AdWeek reports that Spotify will be promoting the campaign to its users, who’ll be able to go to the site to watch the trailer and find out more about the film. Keen streaming-watchers will know that this isn’t the first time dating and Spotify have come together. Music-angled dating services Moosify and Tastebuds both have Spotify apps, although given that they’re 101st and 108th in the service’s App Finder popularity list, it’s fair to question whether there’s a big demand for this kind of thing.
