A few years ago, Music Ally had a stand at the Midem conference, well within earshot of the stand for rapper Pitbull. We admired his entrepreneurial instincts in sending his team to an industry conference, but probably heard enough pounding Pitbull tunes to last us a lifetime. Still, if that ever changes, there’ll soon be a satellite radio channel for that. US firm SiriusXM has struck a deal to launch an official Pitbull channel featuring the rapper’s music, as well as other artists. He’ll host a weekly show too. Billboard notes that Pitbull is the first Latin artist to get this treatment on SiriusXM, although it does has a selection of Hispanic-focused music channels that aren’t based on specific artists. Pitbull’s will make its debut on the service in early 2015.
