Action Man? Pfft. Rock band Linkin Park have turned themselves into 3D-printed figurines, working with a company in Germany called Staramba. The mini-models are being released alongside the band’s current Carnivores tour, with each member available in a 15-inch, 1:5 scale model, as well as a 1:10 scale version – costing $499 and $149 respectively. Alternatively, fans can opt to pay $295 for all six band members at 1:20 scale. The prices may raise eyebrows by comparison with other music merchandise – and, indeed, with the prices of dolls for bands like One Direction who’ve made them through traditional means. In the world of 3D printing, though, sky-high prices remain the norm: let’s see now how many fans pony up for Linkin Park’s models.
