Snapchat is expanding the Our Story feature that it launched earlier this year for the Electric Daisy Carnival festival in the US (Bulletin, 19-Jun-14). The feature is designed to aggregate snaps taken by large groups of people attending the same event, and serve them up as a stream for other people (who may or may not be there) to browse. “We were absolutely blown away when Snapchatters contributed over 350 hours of Snaps to Our Story during EDC, Rio, Outside Lands, and Lollapalooza,” explained a Snapchat blog post announcing the expansion. There’s now a ‘Live’ section within the Snapchat app where users can browse various Our Story events, with music likely to remain to the fore in the kind of events featured.
