INFINITE (a band that insist on writing their name in caps despite, as far as we can tell, it not being an acronym) have become the first South Korean act to get to number 1 on the Twitter Emerging Artist Chart (which launched in May). Social media momentum for the K-pop boyband has been building for months, helped in a large part by the recent release of a video on YouTube showing them working on their choreography. There is a nice picture of them at the top of the Billboard piece, but we’re wondering why the fella second from the left broke with pantaloon regulations and wore patterned trousers instead of white ones. Maybe he’s the band’s “rebel”. Or maybe he’s the K-pop equivalent of the kid who showed up to PE without his sports gear but was still made to go to the gym in his pants.
