Last year, we wrote about a remixing app released by UK band The Nyco Project, as part of a wider Musicjelly initiative that saw them travelling the world recording musicians for an interactive installation (Bulletin, 25-Jun-13). Now that project has spawned a new app: JellyMix 2. Released for iOS this weekend, it’s an “interactive video mixing pad” containing loops of musicians, singers, dancers, skaters and spoken-word artists recorded by The Nyco Project on their travels. “Mix the loops to create different compositions, choose your own musical adventure and discover characters, locations, instruments, talents and further info. And to create the perfect mix you can modulate their individual volumes and panning,” explains its App Store listing. It looks creative and fun.
