comScore has published its latest stats for US YouTube viewership, including its ranking of multi-channel networks. Maker Studios emerges as the most popular MCN in the US with 45.3m monthly viewers there. That’s up from 29.6m a year ago, according to comScore’s August 2013 stats. The second-placed MCN last month was Vevo with 42.2m US viewers on YouTube, although that audience has fallen from 47.8m in August 2013 – the usual caveat about these only being figures for online not mobile viewers applies. Further down the August 2014 list come Fullscreen (34.3m viewers), Warner Music (24.2m), Machinima (22.8m), ZEFR (22.8m), BroadbandTV (20.2m), Zoomin.tv (17.8m), The Orchard (17m) and Collective Digital Studio (15.7m) – music aside, a handy shopping list for any traditional media company panicking about their online strategy.
