After Morrissey joined Twitter then turned out not to be the real actual Morrissey, we’re a bit wary of reporting on new ventures from the former Smiths frontman, in case they’re equally bogus. An online store called the MPorium, with the slogan “the official store of the real and proper poet laurete” and selling t-shirts with slogans like “Be kind to animals or I’ll kill you” as well as a “bath tub mouse mat” sets off all our Fake Moz Warning Klaxons. Still, Billboard is reporting that the new online store is official, so we’ll let them take the heat if it turns out to be another impersonator. The store is charging fans in pounds, euros or dollars, with mugs, postcards and tea towels on offer as well as a range of sloganistic clothing.
