TV and digital media producers can now tap in to the BBC’s history of soundtracks, through a new product from Universal Publishing Production Music’s Beeb-branded label. It’s called the BBC Orchestral Toolkit, with 4,000 elements from 50 orchestral tracks from the broadcaster’s archives, and tools to make it easy to search through them, before building new soundtracks with those elements. “While there is no substitute for a custom score in your production, the BBC Orchestral Toolkit comes as close as possible to having an orchestra at your fingertips,” said Universal Publishing Production Music boss Gary Gross.
