Irish band Kodaline have found a nifty use for Twitter’s Vine video-sharing app: they’re recording personalised songs for fans using it. Fans are being asked to request a song for a friend on Twitter by tweeting the band and using the #KodaVine hashtag. From2pm, the band will then spend two hours recording as many songs as they can as six-second Vine videos. It’s all in the name of promoting their new single ‘Honest’ which comes out in early 2015. “The support for Honest so far has been amazing. We want to say thanks by giving people the chance to send an early Christmas present, on us,” said the band in a statement. It’s a fun idea, although whether fans who follow Kodaline on Vine will appreciate their feed being battered with (potentially) hundreds of personalised videos for other people remains to be seen.
