Changes are afoot within Live Nation, as its Live Nation Labs division appears to have been broken up and dispersed throughout the company. Both Hypebot and Digital Music News reported yesterday that executives Eric Garland and Ethan Kaplan have left the company as part of the changes, with Kaplan’s Twitter bio now listing him as a “former” Live Nation Labs staffer. Remaining staff appear to be now working within Ticketmaster and Live Nation’s sponsorship division. The changes came three years after Live Nation paid a reported $30m for Garland’s company BigChampagne, with plans for Labs to become almost a startup within the company, developing new products and acquiring inventive teams from outside.
