Artists using the Bandsintown Manager platform for their live activities have some new features to play with: behavioural analytics for its community of gig-goers. “The tool was created as a key feature for musicians to know where their richest concentration of fans going to shows are located, so they can better plan tour stop locations and broaden their reach to concert-goers,” explained the company.

“This data has the potential to help artists with many critical decisions such as tour routing, ticket sales, audience targeting and more.” Artists will be able to dig deeper into data on where fans who are tracking their gig announcements and buying tickets live, as well as a heat map plotting that data alongside the concentration of fans tracking similar bands. For now, the new feature will only be available to bands with more than 100 people tracking them on Bandsintown, which recently announced that it had reached the milestone of 15m registered users.
