The latest artist to debut a new album – well, a mixtape in this case – to a startled world is Drake. Overnight, he tweeted a link to ‘If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late’, a 17-track mixtape including collaborations with Lil Wayne and Travi$ Scott.
The album is available on iTunes for $12.99, although for now it’s unclear whether it will also be making its way to rival download stores and streaming services. It’s the latest example of a high-profile artist dropping a new album without prior warning, although Drake fans are busily speculating whether this is a full album, or just a tubes-clearing mixtape in advance of his next proper release.
