Live-streaming video service Twitch has doubled the size of its pre-cleared Music Library to 1,000 songs, including more than 100 tracks from hip-hop label Rhymesayers. The library, which launched earlier this year, provides music for Twitch broadcasters to use in their videos without it being muted by the service’s recently-introduced copyright filter.

Dutch label (and YouTube giant) Spinnin’ Records has also helped to swell Twitch’s catalogue. The news comes as more artists – particularly in the EDM and hip-hop worlds – experiment with Twitch as a way to connect with fans and promote new music. Dance artist Darude, for example, pranked Twitch’s community with the promise of a channel playing his earworm hit ‘Sandstorm’ for 24 hours a day on April Fool’s Day, but now has more than 10,000 Twitch followers to premiere his new single to on 10 April.
