Ticketing giant Ticketmaster has launched its new web series, All Access, which shines a spotlight on a series of music venues in New York. The New Amsterdam Theatre, Kings Theatre, Apollo Theater and Irving Plaza are the first four to get the treatment in the YouTube series, which profiles their history and some of their famous events.
Ticketmaster will also be embedding the episode’s in each venue’s page on its main website. Tubefilter notes that it’s part of a wider expansion into content for Ticketmaster, which sees an opportunity to make its site stickier for music fans – it’s also doing festival guides and an editorial blog with artist interviews. “There is no de facto live entertainment destination and Ticketmaster is better positioned than anyone to assume that position,” claimed SVP of brand marketing Mitch Rotter.
