The technology industry has been expressing its shock and sadness at the death of David Goldberg, the CEO of SurveyMonkey who died on Friday at the age of 47. Many reports have noted that Goldberg was the husband of Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg,
but he had many friends in the music industry too, having been the founder and CEO of Launch Media, and then vice president and general manager of Yahoo Music between 2001 and 2007. More recently, he’d been getting involved in the music industry once again on an advisory basis with at least one major label.
