One for marketing and advertising teams to toss their morning tea/coffee/gingivitis-beckoning “energy” drink in the air in joy. Twitter has launched Audience Insights that, as the name suggests, gives detailed analytics around the users of the social network.
There are multiple categories that the dashboard allows those signed up to peek into – including things like demographics, lifestyle, mobile footprint and purchasing behavior. This will aid marketers to not just better understand their target markets but also what platforms and routes are the most effective in reaching them. For the moment, it is US-only in terms of audience insights, but Twitter is expected to roll it out internationally soon.
