We’ve seen several startups emerge in recent years to make playlists available across the various streaming services – usually those created by users. French firm Soundsgood is taking a slightly different spin: it’s signing up tastemakers to curate playlists, which it then makes available across Spotify, Deezer, YouTube, SoundCloud, Rhapsody, Rdio, Beats Music and Xbox Music. TheNextWeb notes that the service is currently focused on France, with more than 100,000 listeners so far, and plans to launch mobile apps and launch in other countries. The business model? B2B curation, seemingly: supplying playlists for companies like rail firm SNCF and other clients. It’s early days for Soundsgood though: its most popular tastemaker is designer Thibault, and he only has 203 followers and 60k listens to his playlists.
