TuneCore has revealed that it has paid out $35m to artists on its distribution platform in Q2 this year. This marks a 6% rise in payments from the same period in 2014. The company adds that, since its launch in 2006,

artists on TuneCore have seen 18.7bn downloads and streams, generating $576m in payments. Outside of the US, the company has seen considerable growth. In Q2, income in Central America was up 351%, South America saw an 834% uptick and Asia had 496% growth.
