Universal Music Group may be the new owner of the Grooveshark.com domain name, but the label appears to be leasing it out to ticketing firm ScoreBig.

“Welcome Former Grooveshark User! You probably came to Grooveshark to listen to your favourite music,” explains a note on the newly-relaunched website’s homepage.

“Well, Grooveshark can no longer offer you streaming music, but we at ScoreBig are excited to offer you access to unbeatable deals to see your favorite artists live in concert.”

With gigs on its homepage including The Lovin’ Spoonful, David Cassidy, Grand Funk Railroad, John Denver, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Yes, we’re wondering what ScoreBig thinks the key demographic for Grooveshark was.

Even so, it’s a sign of the seized domain name of the unlicenced streaming service being put to more legitimate use.
