New YouTube stats! Get yer new YouTube stats here! Video analytics firm Tubular has published a mini-report on just how fat the fat head of YouTube is, compared to its long tail.
“There are 58.6 million videos on YouTube with 10K+ views or more. In total, these uploads have generated 7.4 trillion views on the platform, or around 95% of the total all time view count,” explained its parent company ReelSEO.
“With at least 1.1 billion videos generating 7.8 trillion all time views, just 5% of that sum total are generating the overwhelming majority of video views.”
The report goes on to note that only a handful of the 58.6m videos with more than 10k views have pushed on into the hundreds of millions of views.
