Will Apple Music launch for Android as promised this autumn? Although things have been quiet on the non-iOS front for Apple’s streaming service, a batch of freshly-leaked screenshots suggest  it is still on course with its plans.

As published by 9 to 5 Mac, the screenshots suggest all the key features of Apple Music are making the leap to Android, including For You recommendations, Apple Connect and the Beats 1 radio station.

In early September, Apple’s VP of iTunes International Oliver Schusser confirmed that a “fall” launch date was still on course for the Android version of Apple Music, as well as compatibility with Sonos hi-fis.

Why is Apple making Android support a priority for Apple Music? Two main reasons: first, for customers on iOS signing up to its $14.99-a-month family plan who have family members on Android devices.

Second: a shop window, of sorts, for Apple’s other products and services. We’ll be intrigued to see whether Apple allows in-app subscriptions on Android, which would mean a 30% cut for Google…
