Deezer has announced its latest telco partnership, in the UK, with Three.
The deal includes a six-month free subscription to Deezer’s Premium+ tier for all new and existing Three customers, with Three preloading its app on all its Android smartphones from November.
The partnership includes in-store and digital promotion, with the promise of “further initiatives together” in 2016. Once the six-month period ends, people will be prompted to start paying £9.99 a month or cancel their subscriptions.
How big a deal is it for Deezer? Well, in August, Three UK said that it had 8.8 million active subscribers, with 4.4 million of them on its 4G service.
It’s the second streaming partnership for Three in a matter of months: in August it revealed that its wholesale division was the network partner for MVNO Rok Mobile, which is bundling music-streaming into its package.
