Kurt Hugo who? Actually, Schneider is one of the most popular musical YouTubers, with more than 6.3 million subscribers to his channel and 1.4bn all-time views.
Now he’s teaming up with Sony Music for a new web show called To The Beat with Kurt Hugo Schneider, which will be aired on his channel.
The 10 episodes “will feature Sony Music stars performing special versions of their songs in collaboration with Schneider, who will also interview his guests” according to The Hollywood Reporter.
A smart move for the major label, which is expanding its activities around original content online – hiring Samsung’s Lee Stimmel as its new head of original content.
The new show will debut next year, although the identity of the participating artists has yet to be announced.
