The UK’s #LetItBeeb campaign is gathering steam in support of the BBC’s music services, in the face of cuts required by the British government’s charter review.

Latest to join is indies body AIM and the Independent Label Market, encouraging fans visiting the latter’s 28 November event to sign the petition calling for the Beeb’s music services to be spared.

“There are over 50,000 people regularly attending the indie label market at Spitalfields. Whatever their general views about the future of the BBC, on one thing we must all agree – signing the #LetItBeeb petition to protect the BBC’s music services, and protect the future of independent music on the radio,” said AIM boss Alison Wenham.

#LetItBeeb was launched by industry body UK Music earlier this year.
