People have been predicting that Rihanna’s new album will be a “surprise” release for so long now, we wonder if it’s actual release will be surprising at all.

The Guardian reported yesterday that ‘Anti’ may make its debut on Tidal this Friday, before a wider release a week later.

In the meantime, there’s a new mobile website called AntiDiary (or, as it’s presented on Twitter, ‘ANTIdiaRY’) launched with Samsung. Optimised for mobile devices, the site gets fans to explore Rihanna’s virtual bedroom, looking at childhood toys, drawings and other items with the promise that “every object holds a memory”.

Earlier this month, Samsung was reported to have signed a $25m sponsorship deal with Rihanna around the new album, although given that the star is one of Tidal’s co-owners, it will be fascinating to see how the distribution for ‘Anti’ is handled over the coming week, between Tidal and Samsung’s own music services.
