Shock news: Taylor Swift is quite marketable.
In fact, she’s the most marketable artist in the world among young Americans, according to a study by sports and entertainment firm Repucom, which assigned Swift a “Celebrity DBI Score” of 88.5.
That put her ahead of Justin Timberlake (86.4), Lady Gaga (85.1), Katy Perry (85.1) and Beyoncé (84.6) – in a list that could have been published pretty much at any time in the last five years, by the sounds of it.
The report also claimed that Facebook has become the most common way people find out about music concerts, often through those stars’ profiles.
“Stars like Taylor Swift and Katy Perry have just under 300 million followers across their Twitter and Facebook profiles combined and offer a glimpse into just how important being able to understand that engagement is,” said Repucom’s Mike Wragg.
