SoundCloud is opening up its data a little more, launching a charts section on its website covering all music and audio on the streaming service – while also allowing people to drill down by genre.
Comparable to Spotify’s charts (albeit without the ability to view it by country), it reveals that Kanye West and Kendrick Lamar’s ‘No More Parties in L.A.’ is the current most-played track on SoundCloud, followed by Travis Scott’s ‘Wonderful’ and Kanye’s ‘Real Friends’.
Unfortunately, Kanye’s tracks aren’t displaying play-counts, but we can say that Scott’s song has been played 5.05m times this week. That compares to 23.3m global plays in the last week for the second-most popular song on Spotify, Justin Bieber’s ‘Sorry’.
