The days when a new Def Leppard video would be an instant MTV exclusive are long gone.

Nowadays, the band are looking to other distribution channels to make a splash with their new promos. Yesterday, for example, the veteran rock band released their latest video through the Guitar Hero Live game, within its GHTV channel.

In fact, Def Leppard have their own show on the TV-style channel, which presents tracks for gamers to play along with in linear fashion. The show is called ‘Def Leppard: On Through the Ages’, and includes a mix of old and new tracks – including the premiere of ‘Dangerous’.

“GHTV is the first place in the US and Europe to watch Def Leppard’s latest music video, and on top of that, you can play along to the video with a new gameplay experience,” explained game publisher Activision’s SVP Paul Springer.

“It’s amazing to see how interactive music has become,” added band frontman Joe Elliott.
