Yeezy 3 last night was part album launch for Kanye West’s ‘The Life of Pablo’ and part fashion show.
The event took place at Madison Square Garden in New York, but was streamed live on Tidal to fans who couldn’t get tickets.
According to Tidal, there were a lot of them – although many complained that the stream wasn’t working for them.
“With over 20 million people logging in at once to stream the show there were tech issues from AMV, the provider with service from Akamai,” a spokesperson told Billboard. Well, at least they didn’t blame Universal Music this time.
The main new news from the album launch was West’s claim that he’s making a video game called Only One based on his late mother “traveling through the gates of heaven” on a winged horse, Pegasus-style.
As a tribute, it promises to be quite something.
