The latest tech accelerator comes from an interesting source: London-based independent music company Marathon Artists, which we associate more with artists like Courtney Barnett and Jagwar Ma.

The company already has management and publishing arms alongside its core label, but now it has Marathon Labs too.

Its first mentoring programme began in late January: a six-week scheme for a group of startups in or related to music-tech. Startups for the first programme have been drawn from London, Berlin, Tel Aviv and Stockholm, in partnership with investment firm Sushi Venture Partners.

Six participating startups are listed on Marathon’s website: tour-promotion service Stagelink; blockchain tech startup Chainvine; fan database-management tool Festyvent; mobile-focused live platform Funtoad; multi-channel network Magnetic; and social-media marketing platform InFlux.
