Apple’s latest move into original music concert is a live concert by The 1975, which will be broadcast on Apple Music this Thursday (25 February).

The band will be playing on a rooftop in Los Angeles, although 9 to 5 Mac reports that it is unclear whether the stream will be audio-only on the Beats 1 radio station, or also a video stream.

Apple’s experience with its London music festival means the latter is quite possible.

It’s the first standalone concert streamed live by Apple, although the company did fund and exclusively distribute Taylor Swift’s tour documentary at the end of 2015.
