Rolling Stones using Disciple Media for new mobile app

British music-apps startup Disciple Media has bagged its biggest client yet: the Rolling Stones.

The company has launched a new iOS and Android app for the veteran band to tie in with their America Latina Olé.

Fans can expect real-time livestreaming; “updates directly from band members”; exclusive content, audio and images; archive video; access to pre-sale tickets; VIP packages; competitions; app-only merchandise; as well as social features.

Spotify and Apple Music subscribers can listen to the band’s back catalogue from within the app too.

The free app means the Stones join Rufus Wainwright, Rudimental and Luke Bryan on Disciple Media’s client list.

It’s not the first time the band have explored apps though: in 2012, they launched a Mobile Roadie-powered app with Endemol UK for their 50th anniversary gigs, including a £0.69 in-app purchase to unlock extra content.
