Major Lazer have followed in Paul McCartney’s footsteps by launching their own sticker pack in messaging app Line.
The digital stickers can be pasted in to conversations within the app like emoji, and are available as a free download within Line for anyone who adds Major Lazer’s official account as a friend. More than 120k people have already added them.
Previously, McCartney launched a sticker pack within Line, which now sells for 100 of its virtual coins currency – the equivalent of £1.49. Fall Out Boy also currently have a free Line sticker pack available.
Line has become a popular social channel for western artists to reach their fans in Japan and other Asian countries, where Line is extremely popular. Taylor Swift has 22.9 million followers on Line, for example, while McCartney has 11.8 million.
According to its latest public figures, Line had 215 million active users at the end of 2015.
