Digital distributor TuneCore will be co-hosting a day of sessions at The Great Escape this weekend aimed at independent and emerging musicians.

CMU:DIY is being held on 21 May at the Brighton conference, in partnership with CMU. It will see artists and industry experts sharing their experiences with attendees.

Those speakers will include Dice’s Jen Long; producer and DJ John ’00’ Fleming; artists Chris T-T and Little Boots; industry veteran Seymour Stein; and TuneCore’s Scott Ackerman.

TuneCore says it has distributed music for a third of the acts playing the music element of The Great Escape this year, with the company keen to continue growing its client base in the UK, after opening its office here in 2015.

“TuneCore is committed to investing in the global independent music scene, and we understand how important it is for artists to feel supported locally as they take charge of their careers,” said Ackerman.
