There is more speculation about the future of Twitter’s video-sharing app Vine, with Recode publishing a list of nine executives that have left the company so far this year.

They include Vine’s head of engineering, head of user experience, head of business development and operations, and its head of data science, as well as several product managers. This Is My Jam co-founder Hannah Donovan joined Vine as general manager in May, and has the task of rebuilding Vine’s senior ranks as well as its growth – comScore claims that its US reach fell from 30 million people a year ago to 24 million in May 2016. However, Twitter maintains that the app is not heading for the dumper. “This year we’re focused on delivering on five product priorities – refining our core service, live-streaming video, creators, safety, and developers – as well as recruiting great talent,” said its spokesperson. “Vine is an important part of our strategy, particularly given its vibrant community of creators, and we’re excited about what the future holds with new leadership.”
