A fun thing that popped up in one of the Music Ally team’s Facebook Memories this morning: our ‘New Music Startups and Services: H1 2010’ report that we published six years ago today.

It focused on the new startups and services that had launched (or at least had been written about by Music Ally for the first time) in the first half of 2010. An interesting snapshot of this space more than half a decade ago, with a cast list of: Aviary, BandCentral, Band Metrics, Beyond Oblivion (*cough*), Conduit Labs, Flattr, FreeAllMusic, Guvera, Hello Music, Ipredator, LoKast, Mflow, mSpot Music, Navigaya, Play.me, Rdio, Rock Band Network, Thumbplay Music, WiMP. Plus a few dozen other startups, many of whose names are long forgotten. It’s worth a nostalgic read.
