Boyce Avenue are one of the most prominent artists to break out from YouTube, the platform where they came to fame and now have 8.7 million subscribers to their channel. Now they’re starring in a TV show produced by US Spanish-language TV network Univision. The show is called ‘Stereotype’ and will see the three Boyce Avenue members exploring stereotypes about Latino culture, from sports and fashion to food. “Not only is the series a great way to get meaningful conversations started about stereotypes within the community, it’s also a really fun way to give fans a closer look at the Hispanic culture — its traditions, ethics and values,” said the band in a statement. It’s the latest attempt to parlay YouTube success into a popular show on traditional TV, overseen by MCN Studio71.
