Billboard has published its ’40 Under 40’ list of “top young power players” in the music industry, with several digital executives included.

Among them: Universal Music Group’s VP of global streaming strategy Aileen Crowley; Def Jam Recordings’ VP of content creation Mildred Delamota; Google Play and YouTube’s head of major-label business development Waleed Diab; Vevo’s head of music and talent JP Evangelista; Apple Music’s head of original content Larry Jackson; Amazon’s senior manager of product, Alexa Entertainment Ben Shepherd; Pandora and Ticketfly VP of marketing Kristina Wallender; Warner Music Nashville’s SVP of radio and streaming Kristen Williams; and Spotify’s global head of artist services Mark Williamson.

Of course, a number of other executives in the list – for example various marketing VPs for labels – have digital as part of their remit too. 13 of the 40 picks are women, which is an advance, at least, on other recent lists of this type, if not quite parity.
