Not content with the success of his album ‘Views’, Drake is preparing for the release of another collection of songs: ‘More Life’.
We’re choosing our words carefully here though: when Drake announced the December release on his Beats 1 show this weekend, he described it as a ‘playlist’ rather than an album or even a mixtape.
The expectation is that Apple Music will get an exclusive on ‘More Life’, although Drake clearly knows what side his bread is buttered on: having debuted three new songs on Beats 1 on Sunday, two of them were made available on Spotify and other streaming services yesterday.
‘Views’ has been a huge hit on both Apple Music and Spotify: when Apple announced that the album had done 1bn streams on its service by late September, we found that it had reached 2.7bn streams on Spotify.
