More than 500,000 people have signed up to, downloaded the app of or social-followed Twickets since its launch as a way for fans to sell on unwanted concert tickets at face value. Now the UK-based company is trying to push its business on with a fundraising initiative, with Chrysalis Records co-founder Chris Wright leading the round. “In the last eighteen months, Twickets has been steadfastly innovating across the business to make face value resale a convenient solution for fans, so I’m very happy for the opportunity to reinvest,” said Wright in a statement this morning. This isn’t just about traditional investors though: Twickets CEO Richard Davies alluded to a potential crowdfunding campaign in his own statement. “We have been extremely encouraged by the level of interest that we’ve received from industry for this round so far, and now look forward to opening up the opportunity to our own community.”
