The BPI has announced the details of its next BPI Insight Sessions event, which will focus on artificial intelligence (AI) technology and its likely impact on the music industry. Chaired by Music Ally CEO Paul Brindley, the event will see presentations from Jukedeck, Polydor, Moodagent and IBM Watson, as well as a panel with representatives from Sony Music, Universal Music, Reed Smith and Quantone. Topics covered will include AI music composition, chatbots and AI music discovery, as well as the potential implications for copyright. As part of the event, the BPI will publish a report on AI and music, written by Music Ally’s Stuart Dredge. BPI members can contact hannah.denchfield@bpi.co.uk for tickets, with remaining places to be made available to non-members on a first-come first-served basis.
