We’ve seen a few startups try to make businesses out of filming and distributing concert videos over the last decade, but none have made a big splash.

Can GoLive and its GoMusic App buck that trend? Currently available as an Android app with iOS to follow, the service offers a catalogue of more than 4,000 HD music concerts, including video-on-demand (VoD), live and “simulated live” options for fans.

The company is also filming gigs for 360-degree and VR viewing. While its main focus is Latin America, Spain and Hispanic music fans in the US, the Washington DC-based startup has a mixture of Latin and global artists in its catalogue.

In truth, GoLive is new to us – we haven’t encountered or written about it before – than new as such, since the company was founded in 2013.

Its CEO Hernan Portugal also recently founded a startup called KuduVR, which will focus purely on VR content including music as well as the sports, real-estate, tourism and medical categories.
