iHeartRadio has announced its latest milestone: 100 million registered users, with the last 10 million having been added since August 2016.
That means the radio-streaming service is adding around 1.4 million new registrations a month, while its apps have now been downloaded more than 1bn times.
As usual, iHeartRadio has not published a figure for how many of those registered users are actively listening to its service, making a comparison with its main rival Pandora difficult. Pandora ended 2016 with 81 million active listeners.
The two companies share a desire to use their large bases of free listeners as a funnel towards their premium subscription services: iHeartRadio launched its Plus and All Access tiers in January, with the latter powered by Napster.
